A confidential pharmaceutical and healthtech company is looking for a sharp Product UI Graphic Designer to design high-quality web-app screens, product mockups, clickable prototypes and visual assets for a growing digital product suite.
The main immediate focus will be PHARMORIS®, a web-based pharmaceutical intelligence / medicines workflow product. The role will also support other internal and external-facing software screens, demo packs, investor visuals, web-app UI, product explainers and interface design assets.
This is not a generic social-media design role. It is not just Canva graphics. It is a product-screen role for someone who can make complex workflows look clean, credible and usable.
The successful candidate will be able to take rough product logic, founder notes, screenshots, workflow descriptions and engineering input, then turn them into polished UI screens in Figma or equivalent tools. The standard is high: these screens may be used for product development, investor decks, demos, internal build guidance, media assets, stakeholder presentations and future customer conversations.
The need for this role is clear from current operating priorities: PHARMORIS screen packs, controlled demo visuals, design integration for PR media assets, and investor-presentable product materials are now live workstreams.
The mission
Your mission is to make the company’s product interfaces look credible, modern, intuitive and commercially serious.
You will work from product workflows, founder direction, technical input and written briefs to create clean UI screens, visual flows, product mockups, clickable prototypes and reusable design components.
You must be able to design for a serious healthtech/pharma/AI environment.
Core responsibilities
- Design web-app UI screens for PHARMORIS® and related software products.
- Turn rough product concepts, workflow notes, screenshots and wireframes into polished Figma screens.
- Create clickable prototypes for demos, investor conversations, internal build alignment and stakeholder presentations.
- Design clean user flows for dashboards, action queues, evidence packs, approval screens, audit trails, status views, admin panels, reporting screens and workflow journeys.
- Work closely with the Founder, engineering team and product stakeholders to understand product logic before designing.
- Translate complex product ideas into simple visual structures that non-technical users can understand.
- Create a consistent design system, including components, buttons, cards, tables, modals, forms, navigation, colour hierarchy, typography and layout rules.
- Improve existing UI screens so they look more polished, premium, scalable and investor-ready.
- Create responsive web-app layouts suitable for desktop-first product use, with mobile / tablet awareness where needed.
- Design product visuals for investor decks, media kits, website pages, product explainers and internal documentation.
- Create screen packs for controlled demos where product claims, visual presentation and workflow accuracy must be tightly managed.
- Support engineering handoff by preparing clean Figma files, annotations, component states and layout guidance.
- Review built screens against designs and identify spacing, hierarchy, consistency, readability or usability issues.
- Maintain organised design files with clear naming, version control and page structure.
- Work quickly but carefully: early-stage speed matters, but product credibility cannot look rushed.
Immediate design priorities: What good looks like
- Screens are clean, modern and credible.
- The interface looks suitable for pharma, healthtech, AI, enterprise software and regulated-sector users.
- The product does not look like a rough prototype even if the underlying build is early-stage.
- Complex workflows are presented in a way that feels structured, calm and understandable.
- Designs help engineering build faster because the layouts, states and components are clear.
- Investor and stakeholder demos look controlled, professional and coherent.
- The Founder does not need to repeatedly explain basic visual hierarchy, spacing or polish.
Required skills
- Strong product UI design ability.
- Strong Figma skills, including components, auto layout, variants, prototyping and organised file structure.
- Ability to design clean web-app screens, not just marketing graphics.
- Good understanding of dashboards, SaaS interfaces, forms, tables, workflows and enterprise-style UI.
- Strong visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, alignment and layout judgement.
- Ability to simplify complex workflows visually.
- Ability to work from rough briefs and ask the right clarification questions.
- Ability to follow brand direction and create consistency across screens.
- Ability to work with engineers and understand handoff needs.
- Good written communication and ability to explain design choices clearly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good file organisation and version discipline.
Highly desirable
- Experience designing healthcare, pharma, biotech, SaaS, AI, data, analytics, workflow, dashboard or enterprise web applications.
- Experience designing interfaces involving audit trails, evidence packs, approvals, case management, reporting, status tracking or regulated workflows.
- Experience with design systems.
- Experience with Figma developer handoff.
- Experience creating clickable prototypes for investor demos or product validation.
- Experience designing product screens for early-stage startups.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Framer, Webflow or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of accessibility, responsive design and user-centred design principles.
- Experience working with remote international teams.
Tools
Figma is essential.
The role may also involve
- Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign
- Lightroom/Generative AI editing
- Canva or Adobe Express for fast supporting assets.
- Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- ClickUp for task management and design requests.
- ChatGPT Business or approved AI tools for controlled ideation, summarisation or workflow support, subject to confidentiality rules.
- GitHub developer handoff tools where required.
Working style
- You should be fast, precise and visually sharp.
- You should be able to take a messy concept and turn it into something clean.
- You should be comfortable working with a founder-led team where priorities move quickly.
- You should not need every design choice spoon-fed.
- You should be able to show progress early, accept feedback, revise quickly and keep files organised.
- You should be comfortable with high standards and direct feedback.
- You should understand that product UI is not decoration. It affects trust, investor confidence, engineering clarity and commercial credibility.
This role is not for you if
- You only design posters, flyers or social media graphics.
- You are not confident designing web-app screens.
- You cannot use Figma properly.
- You struggle with dashboards, tables, forms or workflow UI.
- You need perfect briefs before starting any work.
- You cannot organise files and versions.
- You dislike detailed feedback.
- You produce attractive visuals that engineering cannot realistically build.
- You do not understand the difference between a marketing mockup and product UI.
Example tasks
- Redesign an existing rough dashboard screen into a cleaner enterprise SaaS interface.
- Create a product screen showing a source-backed signal becoming an evidence-backed action case.
- Design an approval workflow screen showing status, owner, evidence, blocker and audit trail.
- Create a clickable prototype for a medicines workflow demo.
- Create an investor-ready product screen pack from rough internal notes.
- Build a reusable component set for cards, tables, action buttons, status tags and side navigation.
- Create before/after versions of rough product screens to show improved usability and visual polish.
- Prepare a Figma file for engineering handoff.

- Dashboard or data-heavy interface examples.
- Workflow, case-management, healthtech, AI, enterprise or regulated-sector designs if available.
