Figma Design Systems Expert: Architect a "Component Switchboard" with New Branding
UpworkShare this job:
We are implementing a brand refresh and need a Figma Expert to migrate and redesign a suite of handouts (approx. 50 assets). This is a two-fold challenge: we need a technical architect to build the system and a talented graphic designer to execute the brand refresh across all materials.
The "Master Switchboard" Concept: The goal is a "one-to-many" workflow. You will build a centralized Figma library where global styles—colors, typography, grid systems, and recurring UI elements—are managed. When a change is made at the "Switchboard" level, it flows through every individual handout.
Your Responsibilities
System Architecture: Build a scalable Figma environment using Variables, Component Sets, and Auto-Layout.
Graphic Design & Refresh: Manually refresh and redesign existing handouts to align with new brand standards. You must ensure the content is beautiful, legible, and professionally laid out.
Componentization: Ensure every asset is tied to the master library so the suite remains maintainable long-term.
Google Drive (Nice-to-Have): Help us bridge the gap by setting up similar branded templates in Google Docs/Slides for our other assets
Candidate Requirements
Advanced Figma Mastery: You should be comfortable with Design Tokens/Variables and complex component nesting.
Strong Visual Design Eye: You have a portfolio that demonstrates clean typography, modern layouts, and a sophisticated use of color.
Systems Thinking: You don't just design pages; you design the systems that build those pages.
Please provide examples of your componentization work (show us the "back-end" of your Figma files if possible) and examples of document/handout design you have completed.
