Figma Website Design – Improve & Elevate the Design (Finance / Content Brand)

We have an existing website design in Figma with branding already applied (colors, fonts, and styles are in place). We now need a talented designer to take what we have and elevate it - improving the layout, visual hierarchy, UX flow, and overall premium feel across the site.

About the brand

We're building a finance content website - think Bankrate, but more personable and people-focused. The brand sits at the intersection of fintech and human connection. It's professional and trustworthy, but warm and approachable. Not a cold financial institution - more like a knowledgeable friend who happens to know a lot about money.

The site is primarily a content destination featuring articles, financial tools, product reviews, and resources. The design should make it easy and enjoyable for everyday people to find, read, and trust our content.

What the work involves

• Review the existing Figma file and identify areas where the design can be improved
• Improve visual hierarchy, layout, and overall UX flow across all key pages
• Make the design feel more modern, premium, and people-focused
• Ensure consistency across all pages and components
• Deliver a fully updated and polished Figma file ready for development handoff

Scope

• 26 pages total (many are similar templates)
• ~8 distinct main page layouts
• Page types include: homepage, article pages, tool/calculator pages, review pages, and resource/listing pages

The end goal

We want visitors to land on the site and immediately feel like they're in good hands - a credible, modern, and friendly place to learn about finance. The design should guide users naturally toward reading articles, using tools, and exploring resources. Think clean information architecture, strong calls to action, and a layout that builds trust at a glance.

• Brand guidelines / style guide
• Reference sites: Bankrate (https://www.bankrate.com/) - similar structure, but we want a warmer, more personable feel

Who we're looking for

• Strong Figma skills are a must
• Experience designing content-heavy websites (blogs, media, finance, or similar)
• A great eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Understands how to balance professionalism with approachability
• Reliable communicator who can share progress and flag questions along the way
