Job Title: Notion Client Portal Designer (Figma → Notion Specialist)

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Notion Designer / Notion Systems Specialist to build a client-facing Notion portal based on an existing Figma design reference.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both visual design and functional systems, and who can translate polished Figma layouts into a clean, intuitive, and scalable Notion workspace for external clients.

You will be responsible for creating a professional client experience that makes information easy to navigate, visually aligned with our brand, and simple for clients to use without training.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build a client-facing Notion portal using a provided Figma design reference
• Translate Figma layouts into Notion-friendly structures while maintaining visual hierarchy and UX clarity
• Create and structure:
• Client dashboards
• Project overviews
• Deliverables trackers
• Timelines / milestones
• Communication or updates sections
• Resource / asset libraries
• Apply consistent formatting, icons, callouts, and layouts aligned with brand guidelines
• Set up databases, relations, rollups, and templates where needed
• Optimize the portal for clarity, usability, and client simplicity
• Ensure the portal is scalable for multiple clients (templated setup)
• Collaborate with our operations team to refine flows and improve usability
• Provide light documentation or walkthrough (optional but preferred)

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience designing Notion workspaces, especially client portals
• Strong ability to translate Figma designs into functional Notion layouts
• Deep understanding of:
• Notion databases
• Linked databases
• Templates
• Relations & rollups
• Strong eye for design, spacing, hierarchy, and UX
• Experience designing external-facing Notion systems (not just personal or internal use)
• Ability to balance aesthetics with Notion’s functional limitations
• Clear communication and ability to work from design references

Nice to Have

• Experience building portals for:
• Agencies
• Clients
• Project-based services
• Familiarity with brand systems and design consistency
• Experience creating reusable Notion templates
• Basic understanding of client onboarding flows
• Loom walkthroughs or documentation experience
