Product Designer (Figma) needed to create an implementation-ready design for a web-based SaaS app
Upwork
We’re building Marrow - a web-based content production system for technical leaders and CEOs.
Marrow helps users turn raw, unstructured thinking into high-signal written content through a structured workflow (capture → sensemaking → drafting → feedback). This is not a marketing website, but a real SaaS product that will be developed.
We’re currently looking for a product designer to design the web application in Figma.
We need someone who can
- Design a complete web app UI in Figma
- Design in a way that developers can build - the final stage will be a handover to our engineer
- Think about systems, flows, states, reusability, and scalability
- Don’t just “make it look pretty”, we care more about product thinking than visual polish alone
The design direction leans toward tools like Linear, FigJam, and Miro: clean, modern, calm, and focused on deep work - not flashy marketing UI.
Scope
- Web app only
- Design based on an existing product brief
- Focus on core product flows, not branding or marketing pages
- Figma deliverables (pages, components, flows)
You will receive a detailed product brief outlining:
- The concept
- Flows & details & our thinking on what each one should include
- Going beyond v1 - how we see the future, so that you can see what we want to build towards
- Design direction
👉 For the purpose of selecting a partner that fits our budget, here is a simplified brief, made for you to be able to estimate if we are the right fit for each other:

Project start: as soon as possible - we'd like to see first drafts in the first week of February.
How to apply
If you’re interested, please include a short message about your experience with product / SaaS design, and a link to your Figma work or portfolio where we can see structure, components, and logic. We want to understand how you design, not only how it looks, so we know if our developers can work with your deliverables.
If this sounds interesting to you, we’d love to hear from you!
