UI/UX Designer Needed to Polish a SaaS / AI App (Web + Mobile | Figma) - Contract to Hire

We’re building a SaaS app with AI-driven features and need a sharp UI/UX designer to polish the product experience across web and mobile. The core screens already exist — this project is about improving usability, clarity, and visual consistency so the app feels “production-ready”.

This is NOT a full redesign from scratch. We need someone who can quickly audit what’s there, find friction points, and deliver clean, modern improvements in Figma.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Review existing screens and identify UX/UI issues (flow, hierarchy, spacing, clarity)
• Improve key user journeys (onboarding, primary actions, empty states, error states)
• Polish web + mobile layouts (responsive behavior, consistency, accessibility)
• Create/extend a lightweight design system (components, typography, colors)
• Produce a clickable prototype for dev handoff
• Provide clear notes for developers (states, spacing, interactions)

DELIVERABLES

• Updated Figma file (organized pages + components)
• Improved user flows and screen states (loading, empty, errors)
• High-fidelity UI screens (web + mobile)
• Clickable prototype for key flows
• Mini design system / UI kit

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong portfolio with real app/SaaS UX work (web + mobile)
• Advanced Figma skills (auto layout, components, variants)
• Product thinking (you optimize for outcomes, not just visuals)
• Fast communication + ability to give actionable recommendations

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AI products (assistants, chat UX, data-heavy dashboards)
• Experience working with developers (handoff, specs, constraints
